Kenneth (Kent) Clelland (b. 1971, USA) is a Swiss Residing American Composer(aka C///nd). An accomplished performer of electro-acoustic compositions, renowned developer of software instruments, and producer of computer media artworks, Clelland has been releasing experimental Techno music as LapCore since 2001.
Since 2019, researching emergence theory in the context of multiple musical dimensions, Clelland’s LapCore music leverages poly-metric, poly-tonal, and poly-temporal techniques to reflect higher dimensions of music into the human (audio-visual) nerve receptors. The tonal system Clelland is developing to translate musical dimensions is called cTonality (short for complex-Tonality).
